this is related to the new InputActionSystem
my InputContext and all descendants get destroyed and then put back when you join
i have this simple script on the client to detect when instances get destroyed under playergui
game.Players.LocalPlayer.PlayerGui.DescendantRemoving:Connect(function(desc)
warn("DESTROYING", desc, desc.Parent, desc:GetFullName())
end)
when you join, the output shows everything being destroyed, because the parent is set to nil
and then everything comes back, but these are not the same instances
does anyone know what is going on
I believe that this is caused by the StarterGui, since it replicates into the player gui, when you join the game. I don’t know how your structure is setup, but for me at least, I like having all my input action stuff inside of ReplicatedStorage.

putting it into replicated storage works
roblox should probably put a warning about this on their page on inputactionsystem
