Instances created with script not appearing in explorer

When a script creates an Instance if the parent Instance previously had all children destroyed the script created Instance do not appear in the explorer. The only way to resolve this issue is to create a child Instance in the explorer.

Expected behavior

I expect the Instances to appear in the explorer.
