Instant error 400 and sometimes instant 429 "too many requests" when attempting to verify and update age on an account of mine.

Unable to change from this forced age group. I had input the wrong date age long ago.
It now says I’m in the “5-8” age group with no birthday.

Expected behavior

I should be able to add my birthdate and verify to my proper age group.

Can’t even start using studio and stuff on this account. Everything is restricted or limited, and it is very frustrating.

I believe this is because I have no age set yet it is trying to set me into an age group.

Still not functional, doubt a fix will arrive soon.

Had to use another account to get started. Very disappointing

Found a fix!
If you set a parent, then make the parent account set a new age for the account, you can set the max age, then reset it afterwards by verifying with ID.

Quite the workaround, but it works.
