About yesterday I’ve started experiencing some issues with my graphics settings within the Roblox Player.
Specifically, when I set the Graphics Mode to Manual and turn the slider all the way up to 10/10 (Maximum), the game fails to render at full resolution and quality. Instead, the visual fidelity, render distance, and resolution look capped—resembling around 5/10 graphics or the maximum graphic limits usually seen on mobile devices.
Changing the slider between levels 5 and 10 makes virtually no visible difference, and the game remains low-resolution and blurry regardless of my settings.
Expected behavior
When setting the Graphics Quality to Manual (10/10), the Roblox Player should render the game at full PC quality with crisp native resolution, maximum draw distance, detailed shadows, and high-quality visual effects, rather than capping the quality at a lower tier.
Roblox’s Anti-Aliasing for me, just doesn’t work for some reason, starting today (28/07/26). I can force AA through the Nvidia control panel, granted this isn’t a great fix.
Regardless of what graphical setting I set the game to in Roblox’s settings, certain features will adjust accordingly like FOV and some lighting bits and bobs, however AA remains absent for whatever reason even on graphics settings 9/10 (I usually run 9). Is this also happening for anyone else?
I’ve sent my log file in the Logs/Crash Dumps/Other Bug Files group.
Also, I was wondering if this issue possibly correlates with the addition of the Terrain Early Access Program?
I recently got accepted into it and it prompted me to download a seperate launcher if I were to use it.
No idea if this has any correlation but my roblox is really blurry. I installed then reinstalled and it fixes temporary before going back to low quality.
my viewport on the roblox player only (studio is fine) has been downscaled for the past 4 - 6 days after some kind of roblox update
is there a reason why this forced downscaling isn’t a feature we can toggle? we’re getting really sick of having virtually no control over anything engine wise. the fact that to this day developers can’t enforce a custom render distance is the kind of engine neglect not seen on any other game making engine period
Hi all, thanks for the reports!
If your device still shows as having low resolution could you please try closing and restarting the app? Let me know if that fixes the issue!
