That happens when the font doesn’t have support for said characters, and is unable to find another font that does, therefore rendering as tofu (the .notdef character).
I understand what tofu is. I’m just pointing out funny things in the fonts file.

Metropolis would be a great replacement for Gotham and Metropolis is a free font
i still miss gotham

the Clarity City font could also work if u cant find the metropolis font since both of them are the same. Both are very similar to Gotham but with some differences

Any Arimo alternative that better matches Arial?
You can try the Inter font, the most noticeable letters that look similar to Arial is the letters J and Q

There is no reason to deprecate Gotham font if there are no issues with it. When I tried the Builder Sans, it doesn’t feel like it had the same vibe as the Gotham. I prefer a bolder font and Gotham was prefect for that.
If Roblox were to support the custom font importing, Gotham would be the first one we’d bring back.
