also tons of cashgrabs and cheap made games do use R15
Yeah and tons of cashgrabs and cheap games use r6 to nostalgiabait, I don’t really know why you’d even present that information, lol.
Eh. Yeah that sucks. Like I said, I think roblox shouldn’t do this at all; adults really want custom character models, that’s just how it is.
Just no need to slander r15 when r6 is not really anything special.
Though I will say, if you’re making a game with more advanced/realistic graphics, sometimes you just have to… go with what works with the game, not the community.
It’s like being in a retail/service job and realizing, no, the customer is not always right, no matter what anybody says otherwise - And for videogames, sometimes customers with good intentions will make very poor decisions, especially when presented with something nostalgic.
Can you guys just do one thing right and make this work for any rigs. Most of the highest quality games on the platform with the most depth are R6. You can’t tell me this game doesn’t have high fidelity visuals. VV: ULTIMATUM | Play on Roblox
There has been an issue forever where buying Ad Credits with robux makes it so your “old” balance practically never depletes. I have DEVEXed 100% of my robux in my group and account every month for a year and still get the old rate.
Also, buying ad credits with robux spends 18+ rate robux instead of the lowest rate robux on your account. Very bad system.
I was having a mini panic attack about that earlier, I buy ad credits so often that I have many months of old robux accumulated that I didn’t expect.
Really made me realize my financial situation wasn’t as good as it should be.
I’m not getting any more ad credit for using the newer rates, so roblox should be using the older rates exclusively when draining my ad credits! It puts older devs at a disadvantage otherwise.
I noticed that there is an option in the avatar settings for using R6 animations on a R15 body. Does doing so remove eligibility from the higher devex rate? If it does, is there some requirements for how many of in-game animations must use the additional joints?
The page for getting ad credits now correctly shows the 18+ robux being used first, and also correctly shows that you get more ad credit for using that robux. (Not shown in picture; already used my 18+ robux for credits earlier)
this was a great transparency change, surprisingly. They’ve been getting better at showcasing the different robux usage rates, though it is still a bit confusing sometimes.
