For some reason, Inventor Hat has weird positioning that tilts it back and misaligns it to the side compared to the average top hat item from the same series.

What @anon75603056 means is that Roblox no longer fixes these types of positioning errors itself and requires players to reposition them from the avatar tab.

well the difference between this and those other ones is that this is a recent accessory, not even past 6 months
so it’s still possible to get this mistake fixed compared to something like Workclock Headphones

I personally think it’s intentionally tilted like that but I could be wrong. Plus, I noticed another issue from the image you posted, the little grabber things are off centre. Not by a lot but enough so when you see it you can never unsee it.

My guess as to why its tilted is because someone didn’t properly do research on the top hats series
This is not a retexture and not “in the same series” as the items you are referring to.

I personally like it more like this, it fits better
I mean by that logic, the Video Creator Top Hat is not in the same series because it’s not a retexture
Also the Inventor Hat is relatively shaped like the normal top hats, so technically it does belong in the series because of its consistent shape (minus the robotic stuff obviously)

Unrelated to the issue about the hat but, people with numbered usernames haven’t gotten their inventor hats at all. Instead of them giving the hat to the username, they gave it to the ID. For example @60803 didnt get the hat but instead user ID 60803 (@uloveme) received the item. For my numbered username they didnt even give out the hat to anyone because no ID starts with a 0. Im sure there is more examples of this issue now that Roblox officially allows number usernames

I believe that it is correctly positioned, the hats you shared are not the same mesh as the inventor hat, it is clearly positioned like that purposely probably due to the arms on the hat, the individual who positioned the inventor hat probably wanted to add an illusion of weight.
I don’t think so, judging by how its off centered + the tilt looks really weird (and also the texture bugs)
i’m assuming that this isn’t correctly positioned and rather was a product of it being Rushed, especially with how the hat was given out early rather than being given out in September.
I would love for the staff to make the top hat match the positioning to its other cousins for consistency.
My response was only in reference to the positioning as well as tilt, many of us ugc creators position our hats based on illusion of weight and wear, I am saying that the individual who positioned it probably was trying to do the same. I highly doubt they had the other top hats in mind for the inventor top hat considering their latest recolors of the og top hats (ex: freshly banded top hat, winter top hat) have the correct positioning. The tilt and positioning of the inventor hat was likely INTENDED.
