Is it just me or is wait() broken?

Hey,
I noticed that wait() is kinda broken (at least for me).

An example of what happened: I was creating a new plugin which is using wait(1) to let a GUI disappear and noticed that it actually took around about 10 seconds fo function. Does anyone have an idea why this is and how to fix it?

is it in a loop?
if it loops 10 times, then you’ll end up with 10*1sec = 10 sec.

Well no. It is running one single time once the event is triggered. Thsi happens when the player presses E.

try to use print() to see when a message is sent. if it really does only print after 10 seconds, then you might want to throw it into bug reports.
Maybe try to see if this replicates to the published place as well.
Also, can you send the part of the code that’s broken?

What I last posted was wrong it only concerns wait() not wait(n)

Yes, this happened to me once. It happens when your game is very large or you have lots of scripts in your game. There were hidden scripts in my game called “Vaccine”. I deleted all of them and it was fixed. Though, I recommend using a custom wait when you’ve fixed the issue. Good luck!
