Is it okay to link a discord server if I use the policy service?

This might be a little silly, but I want to be sure as to avoid any issues in the future

This window will not show if the user doesn’t have the ability to see discord links according to the policy service, is it okay to include in my game?

No, that is what the social links section for games and groups is for.

please take the time to read the post before replying, im referring to using the policy service to verify if the user is allowed to see these links
PolicyService (roblox.com)

I have read the post, and you are not allowed to do it, regardless of if you use PolicyService (social links are easier too!).

okay, it just seems strange that roblox would include this in their service if it weren’t allowed (and that they include discord specifically)

Discord and Roblox don’t really have a good past, so this seems reasonable. While Discord is 13+ specific countries may have higher restrictions, for example in the Czech Republic you have to be 15 to use stuff like Discord. I don’t know if policy service accounts for that though, as I don’t reside in a country that has a higher limit.

well, the policy service also has restrictions for users who live in china so it may apply, but regaurdless, i dont want to deal with that in case im wrong, so i’ll disable it

After looking at the wiki for PolicyService, it looks like you can’t see or guess a users age (all the info you can get from it is more about legalities in assorted countries, nothing linked to a users age afaik) so that would be pointless for this purpose.

not to do with age,
under the “GetPolicyInfoForPlayerAsync” function, there’s AllowedExternalLinkReferences
It shows what links are allowed for that user, eg discord, twitter, etc
