I want to make a realistic found footage backrooms game like the Complex: Found footage for example and i already have the realistic vhs made, now i just need to make the graphics.
I still dont know how to acheieve this, i dont really know how to make the lighting.
3.I tried using a lot of things i added color correction effect and color grading effect and tweaked with the atmosphere and the ambient etc., but still didnt manage to get the same looks, plus i used chatgpt and it didnt get it right for me. And i want to have dark spots too, i added them in references.
I am trying to make this as realistic as possible, if anyone knows better with the lighting and stuff please tell me!
These are my settings i tried addid colorcorrectioneffect and used contrast but it does not look better, right now it still doesent feel like in The Complex
oh and btw i would actually wanna acheive a handheld camera movement like in the complex: expedition like sturdy and realistic and i think i could achieve this easily and it would look more realistic and i did play some backrooms game whom had realistic lighting ill play one now and capture a bit of footage to give a bit of example of kind of how it could be
i increased the saturation to +1 and it looks better imma try to find better materials for the walls now and btw with the light i added a invisible sphere down with 1 stud i think than the light panel and added a point light with range 35 and then in the light panel i added a surface light with angle 180 and range 24 and looks pretty ok
You would just create a surface light and tweak the properties, make sure the shadows setting is on, global lighting is on, and when you go into the interior of the structure it will be dark besides the light emitter inside. That’s pretty much all their is too it, you may want to use depth of field as well. You may want to use custom material with custom PBR reflection and roughness maps to increase the visual fidelity of your walls. Alternatively native materials have this too, perhaps plaster walls.
