Hey guys,
I made a post asking for feedback on my game. I received great feedback! Now, I’m wondering if my game is exciting.
After you’ve told me that, I’d like you to suck that fun out of the game by trying to not enjoy it and doing things to avoid it. (this emulates players accidentally denying themselves the fun) and see if it’s still fun. I will take almost alll suggestions as long as they are constructive feedback.
I will work on further optimization. Did you even play a round, or was it just the lobby?
BTW, just realized that a demo match of the gameplay is happening in the background when you’re alone in the server, so that’s where the lag comes from, despite not seeing the match in progress. @TrolledTrollage this is where those lag spikes come from.
If you’re just in the lobby, nothing appears to happen but amidst and after matches (including the demo) there is massive amounts of lag. Consider adding burning/burned objects to game.Debris so that it is automatically cleared if there’s ‘lag’. Also some of the ashes spawn at the centre of the baseplate and pile up.
The ash spawn is normal, the baseplate is burning. Game.Debris is already heavily used and I believe the lobby is pretty laggy with a lot of loops, which is a main cause of lag. (the lobby, not the loops)
