Players:IsFriendsWithAsync() can only be used in a ServerScript, not a LocalScript.

It’s serverside only

besides what does this have to do with being a solo dev? Even if you don’t have friends you can use it on other people

You can use it on both but it will only work on a server script

You could just use the multi player test feature roblox has

No you can’t you need a friend to test so the multi player test won’t work

yeah you need to friend Player1, Player2 and so on

You can’t. I made the friend system in my game and it works in regular testing but in server + client(s) it says it failed in the output. The invite friends prompt takes time to appear and when it does its just a gray gui saying it there was an error.

Theres literally a feature that lets you test by making however much clients you need

Ye but the IsFriendsWithAsync() needs two players to be friends

Well you could use a second device. If you have a computer and able to make games then i assume you must have a phone

using studio on phone would make development faster but roblox studio isn’t available for phones T-T

just negate the result, test on the negated result, if it works as it should, negate it back
