Is rendering system really optimization or not?

Hi, this is more of a question about efficiency of client-side rendering systems, i know that Roblox’s one is not that good due to need of changing entire code to work properly

But what about client-side rendering systems that change transparency to 1 and disables particles or other visuals???

And if they are good, how can i make efficient one? what kinds of stuff i should Hide or disable and what not?
