Today I felt like the next Steve Jobs and wanted to make an extension for Roblox. The extension is basically the same as Instagram Notes, in that you can add text and/or a song from a spotify library (after filtering using roblox account age) but for Roblox users (This is the easy part lol, I’l figure out the APIs and whatnot later). In the process of sketching this, I was met with the question: Do more users use the application (launcher), or the website when first getting on? If there’s a site to see such statistics, please lmk!
I can’t wrap my head around where to start, so I’ve decided to consult the forum. If there’s already a post that talks about this please let me know.
Maybe add a poll, so you can easily see the answer. I use the launcher! If you don’t mind could you explain the extension a little more? It seems like a really cool idea, I just can’t wrap my head around it right now
Of course! Instagram notes are just text and/or songs you can add to your pfp at the top of the messages tab. In my Roblox version it’ll be seen on the homepage
I just use the launcher because it’s just easier/quicker for me to just play games. I will use a website (with a extension) for specific cases like going to Creator Hub or for the catalog.
But generally, just the launcher. It works and less steps for me to just play a game.
Hello , your idea is good! However, wouldn’t it be better to create a topic in Feature Requests instead of making an extension?
If it’s a client extension, Hyperion may block your extension because your extension will edit the Roblox file (or memory).
On the other hand if it’s a browser extension , players who don’t install your extension won’t see notes and they won’t install third-party due security risks. Thanks you for reading.
