Is there a good way to make liquid projectiles like Rec Room's paint thrower?

It looks like a regular projectile system.
It has bullet drop, a temporary onCollision “splat”, and a unique bullet model. (maybe based on a distance based instead of first surface).
If you really wanted to, you could use a mesh with mesh deformation to animate the “liquidly” projectile.
