For reference, my experience is made up of 73 places and any time I have to update I need to open every single one and publish. We have partial automated deployment but only for Roblox assets with InsertService, code does not have that. 73 places is for now, I expect it to increase in the future.
Splitting was necessary: during the 2021 Accelerator Program, my team found out that our place file was too big and Roblox refused to publish it so we had to separate every single stage into its own place. It’s made it a complete headache to update sometimes and the latest headache is today where I seem to be unable to open any place after a certain amount.
Once I got to around maybe the 30th place, Roblox kept throwing me gateway errors and instantly crashes upon trying to enter a team create session to publish. This means that any time I need to update my game needs to stay closed for an extensive period of time until Roblox stops crashing on me. This is a problem even with lightweight places.
