Is there a way to automate applying changes for Blender's external image editor?

So I’ve been diving into the world of texturing on Blender to better my UGC skills and I was wondering if there’s any way to automate the process of applying changes to the mesh’s texture while using Photoshop to edit it?

Current workflow (on Blender 2.9):

  • Save Texture
  • Open it in Photoshop using the external editor button
  • Apply a change to the texture
  • Save in Photoshop
  • Press Alt + R on the image editor in Blender

I want to at least try and shave off the last part if possible off the workflow because I feel like it hinders me and makes it slightly more annoying to work on. I’ve already tried googling about it and I was hoping that maybe a Roblox Blender Guru would help me with this one.

In the old workflow, I used to check on the texture window and reloaded the file manually through that part. It was a one-click reload button. I’m not so sure about the current Blender, as I have been working on something else.
