Is there anything to look out for when creating guns?

I am trying to create my first gun with blender, but i was once told that there are some parts that need to be made separate from the gun like the mag, etc. I was wondering if there was anything i should note while making a gun in Blender. I’ve watched tutorials but they dont explain what you need/don’t need on a gun(varies ofcourse). I want to be able to animate the gun in roblox too which i’m pretty sure i can do alone. All help is appreciated

You need to remodel the stuff different from the gun which are going to get moved in an animation for example on a reload animation you would require to make a mag, bolt and something like a cleaning rod if it’s an old gun model.

Are you sure you can’t just separate the mesh and fill the gaps over remodeling the entire thing?

Thankyou for this response, but is that all? Just trying to not miss important stuff to look out for.

I mean yes you make a full mesh and you seperate all stuff differently in .obj’s.

Is their another article/video further explaining this?

I learned of this method through this video.
