Hello everyone!
This is my first post on the forum, so pardon any mistakes I make on the tags or similar such things.
I have an interesting Napoleonic / Colonial idea that I would probably be willing to invest a lot into, time and money of course. I’ve got a game idea down but I want to make sure logistically this is possible within the Roblox community and that it would be an interesting game to play. This is a Community I’m looking to make similar to EI
Early Development
Keep in mind this is what I’d want the Alpha to look like
Alright so essentially you spawn in a “Hub”, a GUI with a button displaying your avatar maybe what nation your in. When you click Play you will be displayed the Europe 1790’s map and you can Click on a City to spawn into, or just some plains (That could be used for battlegrounds). The cities can be besieged by other nations and leaders will have an option to “Diplomacy” to manage such.
Now here’s where things might get a little rough, I thought it’d be cool to have a player-driven economy or at least something for players not wanting to join in on the nations to do. I thought maybe they could cut trees and gather things to sell resources, get houses or maybe open stores. As you can tell… a very rough idea that would take lots of work and time. So we would also have a currency system.
Mid-Game and End game.
If all that goes well we’ll start polishing things, of course, and maybe next to the play button add a “Customization” option that will allow the player to customize not only their player but the Musket, Sabre, or any other weapons in the game. Now another idea that could be interesting, is that Nation Leaders and all the players have a Currency with money, maybe the Leader can purchase things like Cannons, Towers, etc.
All in all, that summarizes what I’ve been thinking about, my budget would probably be around 10-20k R$ so probably not enough for all the features. If you have any better ideas for a Colonial Community game please do share them and give me thoughts about this. Thanks for the help and for reading this rather crazy idea.
