Is THIS a good optimization 'trade-off'/method?

so lets say you have 200-300 meshParts that have their collisionFidelity set to PreciseConvexDecomposition, and obviously this is NOT GOOD and you want to change it to Box. But you will have to add an invisible part (no shadow, and smoothplastic as material) to make it so the players can WALK on that mesh ‘normal’ without having it as PreciseConvexDecomposition
is THAT a great TRADE-OFF or NOT? is it A GOOD optimization way??

BASICALLY:
-you get more normal parts but are invisible so much better to render
but in exchange/return you make those 200-300 meshparts better and faster to render

  • YES - it is a great ‘trade-off’
  • NO!

Wait I’m confused, why do you have to add the invisible part?
You’re effectively just setting the collisionfidelity to Box by adding an invisible part in it.
Couldn’t you just.. set it to Box then instead of adding the part?

Or am I missing something?

it is for meshparts that if you set their collision to box then they behave weird and you CAN NOT walk on them normal

so we might get a few more parts BUT in exchange those meshparts will get their collisions completely disabled AND changed to box
