I found out that I can know actually make topics in places that a new member isn’t supposed to be able to make in, and I’m still a new member but I can post in some places like #development-resources:community-resources and #platform-feedback

Yeah, it’s a new plugin we made specifically for the Developer Forum. It makes it seem like you can make new topics directly in some categories but it is actually redirected into post approval. This makes it easier for everyone to make posts without having to know the exact post approval procedure. It also sends you a system message afterwards with the right resources to consult (i.e. About post of community tutorials, in this case) so that you can easily see if your topic is compliant with category guidelines.
