If you make and sell an ugc that imitates popular game items, consumption grows very fast. But the copyright to the design of popular game items should be with the game maker, so is it okay to make an ugc without permission? If you need permission, do many game item imitations of the marketplace get permission? And does Roblox self-verify and regulate this? Or does it wait until it’s reported?
And if I have to get permission, how should I get permission? If I get reported by a producer or user, would it be a legitimate reason for reporting? Can only producers report copyrights? Or can users do it, too?
And are many ugcs on the marketplace using the game ip illegal or not?
If it’s illegal, how can so many items be sold to the present day as ugc? Likewise, how can copyrighted characters like movies and Sanrio be sold to the present day without difficulty?
And why does Roblox have so many ugc copies of other games or animations, and why does it sell so well? And if these ugcs get reported, would they be disqualified as ugc creators? But if that happens, there are already a lot of ugc creators making such works, so are all those ugc creators actually in a situation where they could be disqualified if they get reported?
