Issue with center of mass causing a speed bug if your LowerTorso is offsetted from the RootPart

The video below provides the issue. I’ve tried many solutions, as making the LowerTorso transform to perfectly fit with the RootPart. Though this makes movement and animation handling very strange for the game I’m trying to accomplish. I’ve also tried to make the entire character massless, but as you can tell this is a bandaid fix that only led to other problems.

This effect is amplified depending on the scale of the character, and it also triggers when an animation offsets the LowerTorso from the RootPart (even by just the slightest amount).

I don‘t see any direct solution but depending on how/why you want to offset the LowerTorso for a mechanic in your game there surely is a workaround to achieve whatever you want.

Though it makes sense why you would get pushed forward, your rootpart is the main part and the lowertorso is attached to it but offsetted, now in my head this creates a leverage and there is force pushing down and in addition with some mechanics in the character code this makes it speed glitch like this.

Edit: because the rblx player always stays upright the force pushing down from the leverage doesnt allow the player to fall like it theoretically would it just transfers the force forward.

This is just a theory, in conclusion I don’t believe this is exactly a bug.

I just explained playing an animation with the slightest offset causes this issue. Obviously being more amplified the more its offsetted. It seems like you didn’t read my post thoroughly and just wanted to comment for the sake of commenting.
It is a bug, and its even an issue with roblox integrated emotes. You clearly had no idea of what’s going on and still decided to reply. I asked for a solution and you sat here and told me it’s not a bug. I obviously don’t want this as a ‘mechanic.’

I hope this will help you

Sadly, this doesn’t work, and was one of my attempts in the past.

Video with the provided code (I made sure the function was called before and after the offset)
