Item Analytics Missing Data for Key Segments (Country, Platform, Age, Gender, Marketplace vs In-Experience Sales)

Description:

On the Item Analytics page for both catalog items and bundles, multiple analytic segments consistently show “No data for selected period”, despite the item generating tens of thousands of sales daily. The affected sections include:

  • Country
  • Purchase Platforms
  • Age
  • Gender
  • Marketplace vs In-Experience Sales

In contrast, only the Revenue and Sales section always displays data. The Sales by Location section usually shows data, but occasionally also shows “No data for selected period” after refreshing the page multiple times.

This issue is not limited to a single item — it occurs across various types of avatar items, including both Catalog items and Bundles.


Where It Happens:

This bug is reproducible on both:

  • Catalog items

When It Happens:

Issue was first noticed on June 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM (GMT+3 / TRT) and has remained consistent since then, regardless of browser or device.


Reproduction Steps (100% consistent for most segments):

  1. Log in to your Roblox account at https://create.roblox.com

  2. Go to the Creations Dashboard: https://create.roblox.com/dashboard/creations

  3. From the sidebar, click on “Avatar Items”.

  4. Select any item (Catalog or Bundle) that has received any sales — high sales volume is not required.

  5. On the item dashboard page, locate the “Related Links” section in the top-left.

  6. Click on “Analytics” from the Related Links.

  7. In the Analytics view, select a recent date range (e.g., Last 7 Days) using the date filter at the top.

  8. Observe the following:

    • Revenue and Sales section loads correctly with charts.

    • Sales by Location typically loads, but may randomly display “No data for selected period” after refreshing multiple times.

    • The following sections always display “No data for selected period”, even when sales clearly exist:

      • Country
      • Purchase Platforms
      • Age
      • Gender
      • Marketplace vs In-Experience Sales

Expected Behavior:

All sections in the Item Analytics view should provide data breakdowns — especially for high-volume items. At minimum, Country, Platform, Age, Gender, and Sales Source (Marketplace vs In-Experience) should never be empty when sales are clearly being recorded.


Actual Behavior:

All detailed breakdown segments are either completely missing or inconsistently loaded. Specifically:

  • Country, Platform, Age, Gender, and Marketplace vs In-Experience Sales always display “No data for selected period.”
  • Sales by Location usually loads, but can intermittently disappear and show “No data for selected period” after refreshing.
  • Revenue and Sales is the only section that consistently displays data — however, even this is misleading, as it assumes the creator receives 100% of each sale, regardless of the actual revenue share.
    For example, in cases where the creator receives only 30% of the sale, the revenue is still shown as if they are receiving the full amount.
