Joints issues some help

Hello everyone, someone would be kind to explain to me how to use and what are the benefits of these joints

  • WeldConstraint
  • Weld
  • Motor
  • Engine6d

I’m a newbie with Joints and I don’t understand their use and utility very well, and yes, I’ve already read the official roblox docs and I still have doubts: confused:

I would appreciate it very much if someone gives me a hand please

Here’s an explanation.

Weld:

They are used to connect or attach two parts together. Welds need to be touching each other and will break when moved.

WeldConstraint:

WeldConstraint is an alternative of a Weld that uses the constraint system. And they don’t break when you move the parts individually. You could call it a newer version of a weld, but it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a better one.

Motor:

A Motor adds a movable joint between two parts. An example of a use for the motor are the wheels of vehicles on Roblox.

Motor6d:

A Motor6d is basically like a Motor, except it adds a movable joint between two parts in an animatable way. It is commonly used for rigs or characters.

Wow, thank you very much for your comments that have really helped me understand this a lot!

By the way, what use can I give to using the joints service with these joints? is it to store groups of joints or something similar, or am I wrong?

From what I can see…

JointsService is deprecated, the alternative that should be used are Constraints and Attachments. And if you’re not talking about the deprecated JointsService, could you please elaborate?
