I generated a 2000x2000 terrain in studio, and when it had finished generating I got about 1-5FPS. Why is it so laggy?
Lol, when I tried generating a large terrain - it started eating over 3 GB of memory.
Wow then I could not make that large terrain I only have 3 GB and already 1 GB is always used.
I have noticed that studio itself has been getting a bit laggy. Closings tabs, such as a script, seem to take a while and zooming with a camera drops my FPS. Those are two that I have been seeing a lot lately. Not to mention it crashing all the time… I have a decent computer so I’m pretty sure that’s not it.
This.
I have noticed that only moving your screen, has been laggy the last few days.

I’ve been having my studio constantly crash on me a lot lately, and it’s becoming a real nuisance. It seems to be happening sometimes when I try to click on objects in the explorer and not to mention, the command bar still crashes studio if you start typing stuff into it.
The clipboard’s also still buggy as hell. I’m not sure if it’s because ROBLOX has it’s own clipboard system or what - but it’s really really unreliable.
The lag while zooming and selecting in the explorer is what’s bugging me the most…
This.
If you close studio and open it again, zooming doesn’t lag. But it only lasts for a few minutes then it starts lagging again.
Zooming lag with the mouse wheel was fixed with yesterday’s patch release.
