Layered clothing inverts rig's normal + Puffiness doesn't change

I’m not sure if this is a bug with the new update but this just randomly started happening out of nowhere when I insert layered clothing in my rig. Whenever I insert layered clothing, the normal of the rig’s body part is inverted. Someitmes when I restart studio it’s fixed but it returns for some reason. Whenever that happens, the puffiness of the layered clothing doesn’t change no matter what number I set it to.

The Puffiness property, as well as ShrinkFactor and Stiffness, are no longer supposed to have any functionality as part of this update:

I’m not sure why it’s applying inconsistently or why your normals are being flipped, those are likely to be bugs.

The problem is that they still work and appear in the properties tab, it just randomly decides not to work for some reason.
