I am wanting to learn how to become proficient in Lua(u), and I want to be able to write code myself, instead of having to use youtube tutorials and things like that. Do any of you know good ways to learn it? I am looking for something that teaches it very well, like how Code.org teaches Javascript. Thanks for the help! 
You might be looking for something like Code Kingdoms, however, this is a paid service.
Frankly, I recommend playing around with studio yourself, maybe making a goal to make something. Then use forums, the wiki, and so on to learn.
