Legally Ambiguous Name: "Find in Place" instead of "Find in Experience"

I noticed that in roblox, the current feature to find specific code in any script is named “Find In Place”

I wanted to clarify this bug because Roblox has switched to calling games experiences.

This is for legal reasons as the are not allowed to operate as an app store to host on mobile playstores.

While this isn’t a significant bug, its important to keep consistentency among the UI for clarity and legality consistency.,

I don’t believe this is a bug, because you edit places in Roblox Studio, not experiences. A place is merely an asset with RBX DOM content, which is what you’re editing.

Experiences, Universes, Games are different terms for the same top-level thing, and they can have several places associated with them. Experiences have relational developer products, badges, passes. There’s also separate metadata which is specific to only experiences like content maturity, access level, thumbnails, and so on.

“Find in Place” is the correct name, as the feature only searches the current place, not the other places in the experience. The terminology for what a Place refers has changed a few times over Roblox’s history - you can refer to this documentation page for the current definition.
