Honestly, we just need lifetime and the ability to set a custom number of months and if we want it to renew when it runs out. No need to add tons of different buttons for different payment plans.

Buying a custom amount probably requires a lot more paperwork so I didn’t mention that idea.

That won’t end well. A field for choosing a custom amount of months adds more thinking to the process of purchasing BC. Instead of “Do I do one month, six months, a year, or lifetime?”, it’s “1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13, or … months?”, and that will hurt their sales.

Mobile (pictured in original) doesn’t automatically recur. They’re 1-time.

ROBLOX does this intentionally. They realize people will forget about their subscriptions. And the payment options are in increments that sell well. It’s a company.

They should clarify that cancelling BC cancels the subscription and not the BC. For the longest time I didn’t cancel my subscription until the very last day because I was afraid it would just get rid of the BC altogether.

No company does this. It’s not a viable business model. You have to let consumers know their options, not expect them to know exactly how much they want. It’s just the way this kind of stuff works.

While it makes sense on whatever gives them more money, I find the reason why it hurts sales ridiculous. If you are paying stuff online you should know how much of something you want. It would be ideal to have more flexibility in how much you’re purchasing but because of these people being turned away from those kind of things, we can’t have that. Which can be bothersome. Also, when making arguments, It’s better to state probability rather than a certain number. Who knows, maybe there is a company that does this business model. The internet is so vast you can’t keep up with every company. However, I can agree that the popularity of such a model seems rather low now that I think about it.

But most of ROBLOX are kids (as far as I’m aware. Some nice data would be nice ;)) and so giving them options means that they take forever to choose.

Packages are way easier to choose from.

Sure, it seems more convenient to have 2 options (X months or lifetime), but you inspire decisions by having a set amount.

There’s even some system in place that increments the amount of money you get back with larger purchases. With 3 options this is easy to see; whereas with the custom “X” months option you have to take out notepad/ a spreadsheet and see the rate at which the price fluctuates the less months you order. You have to come to a reasonable decision and everything… Boo, that’s too much work. I’ll take one order of #2 please, thank you.
