As a Roblox group admin the newly introduced banning feature has been a great long awaited addition to the permissions of groups. However, it is a bit inconvenient for closed communities that use join requests.
We get around 200 join requests a day hence some known bad factors have tried to rejoin multiple times.
Right now, in order to ban them you have to first accept them and then ban them manually. Not only is this laborious for large accepting sprees but also it results in more Audit Logs than needed.
What would be more convenient is if the option to ban these users was visible directly on the join requests page.
While I like the feature you’ve described, I don’t particularly care for this implementation. The “three dots” are almost always unnecessary and there could be extra buttons on the card. If one had to ban hundreds of users per day, this would make it impossible.
I do feel like this could be achieved automatically by writing a browser extension, or by using some sort of API to retrieve the join requested users, if it isn’t implemented in a timely fashion.
If you don’t care for it then ignore the thread. Extra buttons on the card would be too crowded. If the solution was to make a third party plugin then making feature requests (plural) would be pointless
I didn’t say I don’t care for it, I meant to say that if there were to be the 3-button option menu, it should have more than just an option to ban the user (I wrote that post very late). Maybe an option to report the user would be ideal there too. Expandability is important on these menus, and having only one option makes it less useful as a whole and reduces motive for the engineering teams and their leaders to work on it.
Once again, I see the potential in this feature request, and regardless of the outcome, it should be implemented somehow, but I do feel like it can be improved to be more efficient. And also, the last thing we want is Roblox to implement this in such a way that becomes just as tedious as accepting them and setting them to banned.
