I agree that group advertising needs to be included. I am struggling heavily to grow my group. I can only rely on recruiting on discord or in Plaza Connect for members. We need group advertising brought back. I also think group alerts would be cool. When I tried starting a group from scratch, I could never get beyond 50 members. Lack of group advertising is really hurting small communities. I really hope the roblox devs haven’t forgotten about us communities needing to grow.
It seems to me ads using this new ads manager are no longer working? Currently running an ad and it’s been 5 hours without any impressions or clicks…
The advertisement has been approved by moderation and says it is ‘Active’
My game had an average of 100-300 concurrent for 2 years straight. After spending $2,000 testing the new advertising system I am now getting a MAXIMUM of 30 concurrent. My games revenue has also fallen over 70%
I am never using this again. It messes up your games statistics by drastically increasing players while not staying consistent with play time etc.
It wrecks your standing with the game page algorithm. Every time I’ve run ads my game ends up being dead for years until it magically gets back into the game sorts. I spent lots of money to theoretically kill off my game because the algorithm no longer favors it after the horrid performance results of the new ad system.
Almost instantly after my advertisement runs my game died after consistent growth over 2 years. This is unacceptable.
That’s a serious bug you are experiencing.
That sounds like a serious issue
im currently experiencing an issue where my ads arent spending. i have 600k robux worth of ads that say active but have spent nothing. I sent an email to roblox with no response yet… ive opened a support ticket with no response. please help
Post in bug reports on the forum
I’ve had a similar experience as well. I spent total 25 ad credits and 50 USD on sponsors, using both the classic and new ad manager. Needless to say that my earnings were almost 1000 robux, even if the game had good stats and potential. The new algorithm is really bad for new games right now.
Hi @4federals — thanks for flagging this, and really appreciate your patience. Earlier today, we experienced a delay in reporting data across Ads Manager, which may have made it appear that your campaigns weren’t spending. That issue has now been fully resolved — all data has been restored, and your campaigns should now be delivering as expected.
If you’re still seeing issues, feel free to reply here we’ll take a closer look.
Thanks again for your patience!
Hey @AdministratorEgmo — appreciate you flagging this. There was a temporary delay in reporting yesterday/today, so it may have looked like your campaign wasn’t getting any impressions or clicks even though it was running.
That issue’s now been fixed, and delivery should be back to normal. If things still look off on your end, feel free to shoot over your Campaign ID and we’ll check it out.
Thanks again for your patience!
I had chat gpt come up with something for group ads that could be added to the ad manager.
Overview:
An algorithmically placed tile ad format integrated into Roblox’s native UI, showcasing group content more dynamically than static banners. These tiles would promote groups directly with rich media, better targeting, and engagement tools.
Features:
- Native Design: Tiles blend into the platform UI (like game tiles), but are marked “Sponsored Group”.
- Interactive Previews: Auto-play short video clips or group-related experiences.
- Quick Join Button: Users can join the group directly from the tile without navigating to another page.
- Game/Item Highlighting: Shows off group-made games or UGC catalog items.
- Interest Targeting: Displayed based on user play history, favorite genres, or friends in the group.
Benefits for Group Owners:
- Enhanced Visibility: Groups gain exposure through dynamic and engaging content.
- Direct Engagement: Users can join groups with a single click, streamlining the process.
- Increased Interaction: Interactive elements encourage users to explore group activities and content.
My 5 day ad finally completed, and it only spent Half of what I gave it.
AI powered, and it can’t even spend the money I give it? This ad manager is legitimately nothing better than the old one, just simplified with the majority of it’s features taken out.
I’m sorry, Roblox developers working on this. But you should have waited until it… had literally any features or utility before releasing it to us. I genuinely do not understand why releasing the old ad manager but with less features was considered revolutionary enough to push it to us so soon.
I’m seeing a much higher play through rate, but I have to calculate it myself through the new Ad Manager page. It’d be nice if we still got the play after click % so we can see if we have issues with thumbnails or the game page once the player opens it.
The algorithm used to push these new games as a test period from 2024 - March 2025. Idk what on earth happened with this update. Now no game is being pushed to reach any audience on the algorithm meaning its literally impossible to grow your qualified click rate on a tiny small portion of home impressions? This was NOT the case for the last year.
I have now advertised a game that had 1k ccu just in April as a relaunch and it can’t even reach 50 ccu because roblox removed the new game boost for games. Everyone here is wasting their robux on ads unless your stats are literally phenomenal which it is VERY unlikely they will be because without home algorithm your not reaching your right audience…
This is insane…
I hate to say or think this but I think Roblox is purposely sabotaging small developers. I wouldn’t be surprised if the mods even remove this comment. I think they’re purposely making it hard for other developers to ‘come up’ because that means more potential people having to use the DevEx program and I think they’d rather use those funds for further development of the platform instead of giving other developers opportunity to make it big on the site. The old ad system was perfect and worked very well. Why else delete User Ads? Just a thought though.
It’ll never happen, but they should really just add user ads back. Integrate them into the ads manager. Maybe revamp them a bit. The removal of user ads was heavily opposed.
hey @wravager — really sorry to hear about your experience, and we appreciate you taking the time to share it.
Most developers running campaigns through the new ad system are actually seeing increased engagement and a boost in key metrics, so your case definitely stands out. If you’re open to it, we’d love to dig deeper and understand what might’ve gone wrong here — do you think there’s any chance other factors could have contributed to the drop (e.g., seasonal changes, updates, bugs, etc.)?
We’d also be happy to chat live if you’re up for it — I can DM you to find a time that works. Totally understand if not, but we’d love to help however we can.
Can you go into more detail? What would revamped user ads look like for example?
Would it be possible to get a detailed analytics report on ad campaigns after they’ve finished running? I have to manually conclude through the game’s analytics when the ad is running to see what type of users the ads work for and if they play the game more than other devices.
Judging by the type of players that join, most of them are newer users and maybe 1% of them are Premium users. Being able to advertise to different groups of users would also be a nice option for Audience Targeting. (edit: in compliant regions)
Could we have some insight as to how the recommended amount of credits for a daily budget is calculated and what results we could expect to see on an average CTR? I’m a little confused as 8 credits per day (which is what is recommended, at least for me) seems low for a launch week
