LightInfluence Property for Parts

As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to create parts ingame that reflect the real brightness and look of a colour you have set on a part. As can be seen below, the part with Smooth Plastic is much darker than the part using SurfaceGuis. Too often I find myself resorting to either Neon parts or SurfaceGuis to create the real colour, but both of these have their downsides.

It really doesn’t make sense that there is no inbuilt way to use the actual colour you have chosen for the part on the part without using extra instances. Therefore, a LightInfluence property of BaseParts which allows you to control how much light affects it would really help.

The reason that your part isn’t reflecting the exact color is because of the lighting. I think that a property like LightInfluence for BaseParts would fix your problem.

Ah I think you’re right. A LightInfluence property for Baseparts would solve it, I’ll edit the thread.
