I’m collaborating with a friend on a sci-fi horror game set in an alternate reality. The game features an endless number of floors, each containing different room types (biomes) with multiple room designs in each. At certain points, players will encounter certain entities that could provide a way out of the endless reality. The game is heavily inspired by DOORS, Pressure, SCP, and the Backrooms.
I am looking for any suggestions you may have, including:
- Room types
- Room designs for those biomes
- Environmental storytelling (e.g., props, lighting, etc.)
- Hazards or mechanics exclusive to certain biomes
