I’ve recently released Banana Island:

I’ve started some moderate advertising and things are far from excellent in terms of natural growth. It’s a largely player-driven game, benefiting from servers of 10+ I would guess. Those who stick around seem to say great things about it and keep coming back to play. However, I don’t hear from the people who don’t come back, which is the lion’s share. Surely they have issues with the game, and although I watch them along their journey from joining to disconnecting, there is only so much that I can glean from their movements. So I was looking for some negative feedback and advice if anyone is gracious enough to give me some.

I played the game and here is my honest opinion:

The game is a bit slow to load (might have just been on my end). The max view made it hard to find other banana trees. When I did get the bananas, I accidentally ate one and had to go get another. When I got to the bank, I was a bit confused. It took a bit to find the deposit button because it blended in a bit. Changing outfit and whatnot was also confusing. The overall objective is not too clear. The “getting back to the bank” thing was annoying. I just ended up quitting after that.

I would recommend making it a bit faster at the beginning, maybe making some of the gui you want the player to click highlighted or something, and lastly help the player understand more of a main objective.

I hope none of this upsets you, this was only meant to be what i think of the game and therefore it is my opinion and could be 100% different than others, so do what you want with this information.

I played this game for 20 - 30 minutes let’s give feedback

  • The game has a special design in the thumbnail and icon,
  • The game is about collecting bananas and improving the character, but this game really needs more features. I know this game has pets and more features but Collecting bananas need improvement. Click the banana and banana teleporting in inventory. You can add animation or durability to bananas and also day&night cycle.
  • The game does not have enough colors. You can add a color correction effect or contrast.

I like your game and UI design, idea. Thanks for the game.
