Hello fellow Roblox developers! My new game has been out for a couple days now and after doing some bug fixes I got recommended from a previous post, I would like for some players to test out my game. I want you to make sure it is playable and that there are no game-breaking bugs that would make you not want to continue playing. Please test out the GUI to make sure the buttons and progress bar work as intended. Please try to get to around Stage 10 and tell me if anything is glitching or if any stages are too difficult or not beatable. I also made all the passes and products 80% off while the game is still being tested if you would like to help support me to continue pursuing my passions.
If you have any advice for the best ways that I can advertise my game, I would appreciate your help. I am considering maybe making a YouTube channel since the new sponsorship system feels very costly and risky for new developers.
Hi bartholamew, I played the game live on my Games Radar review stream after seeing your DevForum request. The guided text + lighthearted tone make the early stages welcoming, and the build ran smoothly for me. A couple quick wins: custom screenshots/thumbnails will dramatically improve click‑through, and I’d rethink the 5‑minute cage penalty—a shorter timeout (or interactive escape) could keep players from dropping out. Adding optional “challenge” routes might also extend retention beyond the first run.
Thank you BroblocodeX for reviewing my game! I checked out your Games Radar website and this is something I think a lot of small devs will really appreciate! I hope you continue to do this and ensure quality games can become successful on Roblox!
Hey! Have you activated you thumbnail and when you are creating thumbnails you need to make sure you go to experience thumbnails and upload it. I’m about to try your game!
I liked the little messages on each stage and the stages were fun but the cage is the easiest way to make players leave your game.
Ui:
The Ui needs a lot of work. It just looks boring and it does not encourage players to buy the passes. On mobile the Ui is all over each other, I would recommend using Auto Scale Lit or something else to scale the Ui.
I would recommend adding Ui strokes or anything else that will improve the readability of the text because when it is overlapping the buttons it is hard to read. You should immediately remove the white background of the gamepass and replace it with something else. Maybe add something that shows what stage you are on because that makes the game feel less bland.
Overall I would rate it 6/10. You have the idea but you did not execute it well enough, I how you can fix these things and then let me know and I will play it again.
I agree with the cage thing; it was annoying, and 5 minutes is far too long. Most, if not all, people who end up in the cage will likely leave the game, as no one wants to wait 5 minutes to retry a single stage. Maybe lower this? Also, there’s a large absence of music or sound effects, so it felt too empty most of the time.
I’m really surprised at how quickly you responded to this! I’ve had this up for almost a month and within 20 minutes, two different people write a reply! I really appreciate all the help and the constructive criticism, I think this game might be a lost cause though, considering it was my second and the first was even worse than this. I’m going to try to use all the ideas about UI, not having enough music/sound effects, and engaging players and put that towards a new game. Thank you!
