It’s a good game, it could definitely get some players! However, it should be improved first.
I dislike how you have to purchase levels to complete, you should be able to unlock them by getting “wins”, or simply by conquering the previous level. That way, players can spend their points on other things. Perhaps on items that help them win? Perhaps items that make other players lose?
Hmm. Maybe instead of pictures of the item, you should invest in placing the actual item on these stands! Or place the images in a Gui so it looks more natural. And these tools are pretty useless. Here’s some ideas!
- Gravity Coil (one life), allows slower fall and higher jumps
- Speed Coil (one life), allows faster movement
- Recovery Totem (single use), on death, revive yourself where you last had stable footing
- Wall Detector (permanent), warns the user when the wall is about to move
- Wall Repellent (single use), pushes the wall back to it’s starting point
- Jetpack (3 seconds on use), allows the player to fly in all directions
- Magic Carpet (3 seconds on use), allows the player to fly in all directions with one friend
- Trowel (one life, 12 seconds cooldown), place studs that could help you reach a high point
- Freeze Ray (single use), freeze and trip players or stop the wall from moving
- Tripmine (single use), when touched, explodes the user upwards without doing damage
- Baseball Bat (one life, 4 second cooldown), pushes users away
- Rocket Launcher (one life, 24 second cooldown), pushes users or the wall away
- Slingshot (one life, 1 second cooldown), nudges users away
- Trampoline (single use), allows the user to jump and gain momentum, can reach very high
- Invisibility Cloak (permanent), allows the user to hide from other users
Most of these tools are balanced. Even the cheapest ones can be useful. Some of these tools help everybody, help yourself, or hurt others!
I noticed the map looks quite messy, especially material wise. Why are the obbies made of studs and the lobby is made of 2022 materials, still in the shape of studs? It’s not very consistent. I suggest making the lobby out of studs too!
And about the lobby, the shop and credits should be swapped.
It doesn’t make sense the hide something the user may need to progress, and show something in it’s place that aren’t important. And the fact they’re all dancing is a bit obnoxious, what if they were just statues? I think that would look better. The leaderboard users should keep dancing though.
Why is this the only level with a Big Red Button?
That’s a bit unfair to new players. We need to keep them in the game for longer, and not encourage existing players to bully them!
It took me a while to find this. Please put the music toggle in the topbar instead. It’s the first place I look for settings. This way, you can also turn off music while you’re playing on an obby (trying to focus)!
When the obbies reset, I should at least spawn back to the first checkpoint of the obby I was just doing. It’s annoying to have to walk back to it!
