I’m currently a Trial Moderator at a game called Rooms. It’s a Stage style voice chat where each player can either create or join their own Room and host stage meetings with each other. As you can imagine this brings some heavy Moderation needs due to the nature of Roblox being what it is today.
Due to the User Generated Content involved in the games creation, we have an obligation to make sure it’s moderated otherwise Roblox can contact us to remove it, or moderate it. Otherwise they will take down the game.
We currently have implemented many report abuse features that get fed straight to the moderation team, we also have automatic filtering for many Room names + the messages sent in them.
Whilst we are doing what we can to currently manage the game, and ensure the safety of children. We are looking for ways to improve to make the game a safer place in general not just for kids but for the older players aswell.
You may have seen my last post where I slandered these games for having improper Moderation and being unsafe for children. However I chose to join the Moderation team here because they are trying the hardest to keep their game safe. The other games who generally don’t seem to care have been reported using DSA and forwarded internally to Roblox Staff.
