Hi. I’m Zel, currently a scripter. My passion is making GUI and such on Roblox Studio, and I want to start expanding. I am looking to become a full time UI designer, and make UI on paint.net. I have watched numerous tutorials, most of which haven’t helped. The tutorials dont give me an idea on how to make the “roblox-themed” UI, which is mainly cartoony. If any UI designers would like to assist me on how to become a good UI designer, please let me know.
I used to be good friends with @TedArthur, who is a absolutely fantastic UI designer, but once he stopped running his little roleplay group all of our ties broke. Since its very recently I started this GUI/UI hobby, I haven’t been able to get in contact with him, and even if I could, he is extremely busy. Point being, I wanna make the kind of stuff he does. I am not impatient, and I am willing to take the time necessary. I spent a year making sure I knew the basics of scripting, and I wanna become a multi-skilled dev. GUI designing is really cool in my opinion.

I wouldn’t say roblox-themed UI is mainly cartoony, it’s pretty much modern, as you can tell in the webpage but, you shouldn’t aim for cartoony at first, aim for UX first. That way, you can make your UI user-friendly, as much as possible.
So I recently got Photoshop, once I finish a UI, how do I export it to make it customizable? If I just export it as a PNG its gonna not be customizable, and you cant change numbers or anything like that. Do you know how I do this?
Yeah, but I usually don’t do imported UI, it’s too difficult, and doesn’t worth since I do minimalistic and modern UI which doesn’t require any importing
