I’ve had the Verification Badge for a month or so now, recently lost my password manager and so I had to de-activate and re-activate Two Factor Authentication to regain access to my account, causing the Badge to be disabled and/or removed.
It says via the FAQ: “Re-enable the Authenticator App: If 2FA was disabled, re-enable it in your account’s Security settings. The badge should be re-granted once the correct security measures are in place.”
For clarification, I got the badge originally from the “Experience Developers” Verification FAQ. Meaning I own or contribute to such an experience, that being through group etc.
I have contacted support, hoping for a proper and legit response back and the badge to return. I will update if anything happens. Hopefully a member of the Staff Team can see this message and help out!
It doesn’t say anything like that, I don’t know where you pulled that from, but instead it says to contact Customer Support if you lost your badge for non-policy violating reasons:
because imagine a hacker entered you account by in physical a device with the account they disabled it so the hacker enters and acticvate it its just a standard procedure of roblox to make sure they dont target verified players to sell their accounts
No, because disabling and re-enabling 2FA could still be part of an account sale. This safety precaution enables them to check whether it’s still you who owns the account.
Recovering the verified badge will take max a few days, if everything else is unchanged they’re pretty quick on restoring it.
Thanks for reporting.
As described by the users above, this is intended behaviour.
The badge can be removed for the following reasons, as mentioned in the article provided above:
Since you’ve already reached out to Roblox Support, please just stay tuned there for a reply.
Your patience and understanding in this matter are greatly appreciated.
