Low first-time user visit length

My game (below) has been receiving extremely low average playtimes for first-time players, with 70% of first-time users leaving before beating stage 1.

This issue only started about 5 weeks ago when I released a small update which seemingly caused the playtime to massively drop, but I cannot remember what I even changed during this update, and I can’t find any bugs. This problem also primarily affects mobile/tablet players.

I would appreciate it if you could take the time to try out the game as a new user, and suggest any feedback for improving new players’ visit length, or report any bugs you may find. Thanks!

If you don’t remember the update, it will be hard to help you. I will try to experience and see if I can find the problem. I noticed that in the description you said the Halloween event as ended, but the “You completed the Halloween quest” badge have 100+ won yesterday. It’s a bit strange. Anyways have a good day!

Yeah, the badge says that because I just ended the event a few hours ago.

I was hoping that people could try out the first stage of the game if they have time to see if there’s any bugs preventing players from beating it.

Thank you for your response.

Its because your game isn’t friendly enough to new players. There was no introduction, no information or any help. I didn’t really know what to do when I joined the game. I placed down one of the objects, but when I tried to do another it just asked me to buy cash (which is really unappealing considered I joined 5 seconds prior).

I would include more help information for beginners and give them more cash and support to start out. The first few minutes of someone playing your game are going to decide if they like it or not, and being unsure of what to do and constantly being prompted to buy things is not going to want players to stay. I wold make it so players who first join recieve some sort of cash bonus for first time joining or maybe already having a preloaded base that explains what each part does so they know what is best to use.

Edit: While you the developer know how to play the game, and know what every button and control does, keep in mind new players have never seen this before or know what to do. The title of the game doesn’t define what a player does (ex. “Ultimate Driving” you can assume you are driving, which isn’t hard to understand. When I see " Tower Defense" I think how do I defend my tower? Is this a shooter game or a building game. Is it like minecraft where I defend against creepers?).
