[Mac] Edit button in-website doesn't open Roblox Studio

When using any browser on Mac besides RobloxStudio and you press “Edit” to open a place in studio mode, it just opens in a Roblox Player window. You can move your camera around as normal but can’t do anything else from there. I would upload a video, but my internet and computer would die.

POST EDIT: This is what “Edit” mode from web looks like for me.

I’ve attempted to replicate this issue, however whenever I press ‘Edit’ - I am presented with the following error message. Very odd that you are not receiving this.

I tested this in Safari Version 8.0 on OSX Yosemite Beta 3, however.

Weird, this is what “Edit” mode from Safari looks like for me.

  1. What does the output window in Studio say?
  2. What browsers have you tried this with?

2. I’ve had this exact problem, running OS 10.9.2 with Chrome.

  1. A studio window does not popup. All that comes up is the Roblox player in your place with a free camera.
  2. Safari, Chrome, FireFox

This is a problem on macOS Tahoe 26.1 (25B78) in December 2025. Pressing “Edit in Studio” on the create.roblox.com Place page, or “Edit in Studio” from the game page, doesn’t open Roblox Studio at all.
