The new UI is hard to use especially on mac when you have to constantly move your mouse to perform simple actions like copying, pasting, publishing, saving, testing, and sooo much more.
Just look at this:
It should be set inside the app itself.

This is how a majority of apps are on MacOS, they use the Apple Menu Bar because that is the Standard for Apps on MacOS.
So, in other words, they are not doing anything weird for a MacOS app, they are actually finally conforming to the standard that has been set on MacOS for several years, making them no longer an outsider in terms of MacOS App UX regarding Menu Bars.
No, it’s not better. In full screen it is a hastle, especially since what most users are used to. It also has an unnecessary animation which many other app don’t have.
Do you personally like this update (if you have a Mac)?
I’ve been using my Mac for development, and ⌥+P is faster than using the UI to publish. I also think my need for the menu bar has been brought down by the habit of using keybinds for their respective functions.
F5 and ⇧+F5 are my playtest saviors. Rebind anything in Studio or use Karabiner to disable that annoying dictation feature. Having these extra features put into the menu bar makes the window UI itself look less cluttered and I like it.
I actually do much of the actions I listed above but didn’t want to spend time thinking of specific examples
Your fault for using Mac Windows is just better.
keyboard shortcuts dont exist on mac?
Woah there!
I’m going to have to flag that as spam and harassment.
Please do not talk to me like that!
'Ya feel me?
Never said it was better, was simply stating that Roblox is adhering to the MacOS Menu Bar Standard.
Also, as for the “unnecessary animation”, I assume you’re talking about how the window bar drops down? Roblox does not have control over that, it is built-in functionality to MacOS. Try the same thing on Discord when in Fullscreen, you will get the same result.
The only apps that do NOT have this are the ones that adhere to the Liquid Glass standard and have their Window Controls inlined with the Interface.
I am personally indifferent to it; however, it has a HUGE advantage which is the Search Feature within the “Help” tab of the Menu Bar.
Every MacOS app that uses the MacOS Menu Bar supports this and it allows you to search the entire Menu Bar (no matter how many tabs deep something is) and also shows you exactly how to navigate to it as well. This is great for building the mental pathways to get to that specific action/button in the future.
So I actually lean more positively to this change solely because of that (it’s a lifesaver for me when I forget or am trying to find a new feature in ANY MacOS app).
Also, yes, I do use MacOS: it is my Daily Driver.

not seeing that is where the mistake is

I WAS JUST ABOUT TO MAKE A FEATURE REQUEST ON THIS, we need this asap
