I made this for someone contest in the past! Themed summer beach. This is a render from last year, so it’s a bit crappy quality. I will post my latest work next anyway!
Rendered in: Blender Cycles 300 samples.
Time spent: 1 day (due to my crappy computer spec it took so long hahaha!)
Thank you for the feedback! I tried what you said at the time, but I just noticed it in the middle of rendering. Maybe about 8 hours after I render at that time.
I think I understand what you’re saying, I just find it off that this one branch’s leaves manage to be closer to the camera than the hat. If it’s meant to be like that it looks like the hat is huge and is flying out from behind that branch.
I get that because of the headless head it is meant to go through the spot where his head would be but I’m not sure about the hat.
I might be seeing this completely wrong (as I usually do haha) but I just find it a bit off.
Ahh, your right! Maybe this is a lesson for me not torush into things. I don’t have the project files anymore, so maybe I won’t be able to what really happened. :`]
Considering this is from last year and how much you’ve improved since then there are bound to be mistakes. If I go back and look at some of my old art I can’t believe I was genuinely proud of some of them.
It could be a thing like with decals on Roblox where the image file will clip and show through certain blocks (only ever used blender once so don’t know if they have this issue).
But it’s one tiny thing and it took me a couple of looks to notice it.
Overall amazing GFX and can’t wait to see more!
I’m so stupid, I should have shown my portfolio first, huh. So after this post I will make my portfolio. Then I’ll post my new project again! And also I just use the blender for 9 to 10 months. Maybe, I will learn a lot from here.
Thank you for giving positive feedback for my first post on devforum!
