The bottom looks great but on top I would remove the corners as they don’t fit with the bottom one. Extend the roof a bit more outwards to have more depth. I also recommend getting texture bundles off the library as they provide more diverse textures for future building. But good job for your first build.
Thanks, I messed up a bit on the part going from the bottom to top and tried to fix it to the best of my possibility, I just noticed this and I must’ve done it accidentally, here’s a better screenshot.
Make the top part corners solid white pillars as the black looks off with the bottom half.
this looks amazing for your first build! There are some things that need to be adjusted though, adjust the window to be in the center, same with the door.
I don’t know if you’re trying to go for a cartoonish look or somewhat detailed look but I’d suggest adding more detail in the railings and column.
also there’s a missing part on the second floor I can see through the house, make sure to fix that
Thanks, I’m not trying to make a cartoony aspect i’m just really bad at building haha, maybe changing the material would help with that?
can you send some links to good texture bundles? Thanks.
Like other say,“Make it simple to make it perfect”.I should not make my building to much detail. You are awesome!
I recommend you to change the lightning from shadowmap to future light. It would make it more realistic
Yea sure! Heres mine textures - Roblox I made it into a folder so it doesn’t litter your workspace.
changing the material will help a lot.
I’m suggesting that you’d make the railings skinnier because they’re quite thick
maybe something like this:
Any suggestions on making windows? I kinda struggled with that.
Try this:
- Make a b0rder using smoothplactic.
- Add new part with glass material
- BrickColor = black
- Transparency = 0.4
I use this to make a window.
yeah
first you wanna start out with a box to plan where you want the window, how big you want it, and if you want it in two or three different areas, look at a ref photo and look at the design you want, then look at the borders (also if you can, change your increment to like 0.05 for details) try and recreate the borders and lining for the window as best as you can
I highlighted the outer borders in black and the inner borders as red, make sure the black is extruded further than the red and red to be almost the same size as the glass. I hope that makes any sense
also if this helps in any further builds, the way I outlined the window is how you should be looking at other objects when you’re trying to recreate them, taking the object apart in pieces and trying to imagine how blocks/triangles/circles could fit there and doing them in small tasks, it’s easier that way
It’s beautiful, I recommend to add some more colors and materials
This’ll probably be my last question. Sorry if 'm bothering you. Do you have any tips on making doors? My doors are quite ugly and i’m not entirely sure on how to make them better. Thanks.
It’s okay,I love replying. You can take my Door Model. You can learn from my script ![]()
using the same method as I said earlier, try looking at a door and see where each block can go and break it up into pieces, I can’t spoonfeed you everything you gotta learn
Nice for a first build!
But the roof is too flat, also the corners on the 2nd floor is a bit messy. But still good job!
