Magic Texture Batcher - Release

free & open source on github
same version but paid on creator store

Hello! If you are someone who works with 3D models that have alternating textures, recolors, etc. Or a UGC Creator that makes items (good example is hairs) and you re-use a list of textures, or you make multiple colors for an item. This tool will save you so much time.

This plugin includes:

  • 4 modes: Mesh, Accessory, PBR Mesh, PBR Accessory
  • Save your textureIDs in one place
  • Bulk rename, with a thumbnail preview of the texture applied to your mesh(es).
  • Sync rename

It works best if you use the asset manager to bulk import your textures, as it seems to only work with imageIDs due to the way Roblox’s decalID to imageID wrapper works.

Simply select your mesh or accessory, paste your IDs (one per line) and click “Start Batch”. Then you’ve skipped the tedious and mundane activity of having to go through the explorer

You can rename your accessories/meshes either manually or in bulk by syncing names. You also get a little thumbnail of which texture applied to the mesh or accessory you’re editing, so you can skip that whole process as well.

And you can also save any IDs you re-use a lot all in one place, you can easily copy paste them every time you open the plugin.

I hope this will be found useful by at least one person, I made it in mind with UGC creators like me who not only just make hair items, but also like to make a bunch of recolors for one item. This will hopefully make it easier for all of us 3D & 2D Artists, UGC creators and hobbyists to be more productive!
