As one of Russian players and developers on ROBLOX, I have been feeling kind of isolated with the chat restrictions recently.
Last year in December, ROBLOX was banned in my country, and the same month, chat gets restricted for accounts with location set to Russian Federation/Russia, despite the upcoming chat updates such as age check to chat and age groups.
…7 months in, no updates about the chat nor signs of comeback.
It blocks me from interacting with some of my friends which don’t have any socials besides Whatsapp/Telegram…
And if they do have, it still blocks me to interact with them any other way, in cases like not being able to access any socials at all.
Would love to have chat to be available in some sort at least for Trusted Friends.
Another problem I and other Russian/Middle Eastern people have is Team Create.
Because it’s also restricted, it sort of encourages Russian/Middle Eastern people to use VPNs and sometimes create separate accounts. Just like with chat. And separate accounts sometimes dont have the same resources (such as plugins) as main accounts, due to some costing real life money rather than ROBUX, as they used to.
And if you are going to buy one - you won’t. Because Russian bank cards are sanctioned.
Not to mention that my friends and I are working on a game, and the restrictions make it worse by literally slowing down the development.
I am pretty sure there are people with the same situation as me.
So, my final request is…
Make Chat and Team Create available at least for Trusted Friends for accounts located in Russia/Middle East.
