As a ROBLOX developer and player, it’s currently impossible for me to buy games that cost real life money or any plugins or models due to my account location.
The restrictions don’t let me get certain useful plugins.
My solution to this is adding ROBLOX Credit as a payment method for games/plugins/models, just like with ROBUX. Some developers are located in countries with a lot of financial sanctions, like Russia or Belarus, but yet they are still able to get ROBUX and ROBLOX Credit via giftcards.
I think it should be possible! Roblox credit is a balance in fiat currency before it’s being converted into Robux/memberships, so a $10 giftcard should be able to cover a $10 plugin. Roblox would receive the full amount from the giftcard purchase, and can funnel that to the creator 1:1.
Technicalities around fraud/accounting could make it difficult, but at least it’s a possibility to not keep a ton of unsupported regions locked out from useful paid resources.
I see a problem because it’s so dumb of them to refuse to bring back robux as a option for plugins & models because of some feature they added so disrespectful to other countries it also hurts small devs
