Making GFX, Gear is see through

Alright so i imported the vests, and the vests are see through some parts. I forgot how to use backface curling and all that stuff but Idk what to do!!

Change blend mode to opaque in material tab.

It’s a weird bug, not isolated to Roblox. You can rebuild the material and it will work fine

No it is not a bug actually. Roblox just sets blend mode to alpha

I’ll check that solution out.

Unity developers have reported the same problem. I play around with a unity model that has this issue. It was one of those developers who recommended rebuilding the materials. They concluded the issue is in blender.

Did u tried to change blend to opaque?

I just rebuild my materials when I see any issues like this. I have issues with blenders export and import track record.

I have to find it again. I have caught both normal and diffusion maps causing issues. The one I just opened had a normal map problem. The issue here the existence of a Normal Map vector node, attached to nothing. It can be fixed by deleting this node.

I’m positive that the original designer did not look at this and think it was ready to save!

I do look at this stuff as an exercise. The only way to get better is to break things! It is trivial enough to build new materials though…
