Why shouldn’t we be grateful?
And yes Roblox has a lot of these problems but I feel like people oversimplify things too much
99% of the problems are of their own creation
Think of these changes as “Oh, I broke your arm ON PURPOSE and now I bought you a mediocre falling apart cast, be grateful!”, you would 101% not be grateful.
Pretty bad comparison in my opinion but ok
But it’s an objectively identical example, they broke our ability to publish reliably, then gave us mediocre barely functional improvements to said publishing.
How so, and I never said we shouldn’t criticize Roblox, all I was doing was looking on the bright side because it’s not all doom and gloom
Being unnecessarily positive doesn’t solve anything, Roblox created the doom and gloom side, then they created the bright side, what is there to be positive about when all Roblox has done is create bad?
As is literally said:
Why should we be positive because they barely tried to fix their mistakes? why shouldn’t we criticize more?
That’s an exaggeration, there’s still many great things on this platform even if they make terrible decisions and mistakes
We’re talking about publishing, I do agree they’ve made great on OTHER sections of the platform, but in terms of publishing it is still really bad.
True but there’s no harm in being grateful of what we already have even though we deserve more and Roblox keeps shooting itself in the foot
You do realize people can be grateful about one thing but not about another?
People are REALLY not grateful for the publishing.
People are grateful for the up-coming terrain overhaul-update.
And I never said people can’t, all I said was “at least we can be grateful” I never said the publishing requirements were good and I never said I liked them
Then why post it on a publishing requirements topic? You replied to a message asking why we should be grateful about the publishing update, you can’t just twist your own words to be right, it clearly indicates you are asking “Why shouldn’t we be grateful for the publishing update?”
Why shouldn’t we be grateful they made a bad change somewhat less bad
Because they made the change bad in the first place, AS I STATED:
Another example is:
You wouldn’t be grateful, you’d still be incredibly furious that they stole your car.
Well AS I STATED I never said the publishing requirement stuff was good and I don’t like it either but I’m just glad that the situation got somewhat better even if there’s still a LOT wrong with this platform
Not exactly, if you never get enough players you can’t get the robux back unless you want to lock it 16+ again. (unless they changed how it works now)
I think you still have to maintain an unreasonable level of ‘highly engaged players’.
All ages games with 0 to 50 players should be allowed to exist. They need to think of a better way to vet these and approve them.
Just remove the ID check alltogether, face scanning is enough.
On the Dashboard home page I honestly wish there was a way to temporarily hide the huge banner asking for my ID; but I doubt that’ll happen…instead I predict that eventually every user that is age-checked as 18+ might get pop-up prompts on Roblox every third or fourth week (or more) asking to “finish account setup” by providing an ID as well.
